Team building on a Sailboat Sailing is probably one of the most team-oriented sports there is. You need to work together to get the boat not only moving, but moving at it's best possible speed, given current wind conditions. We allow each person the opportunity of taking the wheel and being "captain" for an hour. He or she has absolute control of the boat and issues orders to the crew on how to trim the sails in order to obtain the best speed.
